• Welcome to Joan MacQueen Middle School where Dust Devil students connect with their school, engage in rigorous curriculum and take pride in their school and their accomplishments.

    Joan MacQueen Middle School (JMMS) provides rigorous, well-balanced, challenging and comprehensive programs in grades 6-8 that meet the needs of each student in a culturally diverse and ever-changing society. Through their years at Joan MacQueen, students grow academically and socially in a safe, supportive, positive and engaging environment to develop the skills and potential for lifetime learning, enabling them to be responsible members of a global society. Students leave JMMS prepared with the knowledge and skills needed to be successful in high school, college and career.

    The Joan MacQueen Middle School staff is committed to providing high quality education for every learner with an emphasis on critical thinking, communication, collaboration, creativity and character.  These skills are provided in our core program courses of math, English, social studies and science, as well as, a wide range of electives in band, percussion, student leadership (ASB), yearbook, computer programming, art, photography, makerspace, beginning robotics, advanced robotics, Spanish, musical theater and Keyboarding.


  • Career Fair at JMMS

    The Alpine Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Career Fair at JMMS on Friday, March 31st in teh gym.  Students will hear a keynote speaker and then browse tables to discuss careers.  This is the second year that the Alpine Chamber has supported a career fair at JMMS. We thank them for all of their hard work on behalf of our students.
